The Innovator Visa aims to encourage the development of and investments in viable, innovative, and scalable businesses in the UK in order to drive economic growth.
This visa is for entrepreneurs seeking to set up or run a new business in the UK. It unlocks a secure, and fast-track route for applicants and their family to relocate to the UK and enjoy the high living standards, renowned education, and start towards UK Citizenship.
There is a minimum investment of £50,000 required for this visa.
Processing Time
You’ll usually get a decision on your visa within three weeks if you apply from outside the UK. However, the whole pre-application process will take longer because you must have a business plan that is approved by an endorsing body before applying for your visa.
Requirements for an Innovator Visa
You must show evidence of either having available or invested at least £50,000 in your new business. Multiple innovator applicants can apply for endorsement as part of an entrepreneurial team. However, each applicant must also independently show that they each have £50,000 available to invest. Joint venture arrangements may also be acceptable.
Under this route, you are required to demonstrate an innovative, viable and scalable business idea which is approved by an endorsing body. Once you get your business idea endorsed, all you need to do is start a company, take an active part in developing your business idea in the UK, generate revenue, and create job opportunities.

how long can you stay in the UK?
The initial visa is granted for three years. After that, you can apply for an Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) in the UK. There are various conditions to meet. We will guide you on the best way to meet them.
Apply for indefinite leave to remain (ILr)
You will be able to apply for an Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) after spending three years in the innovator Visa category. You can apply for an ILR provided you have spent no more than 180 days outside the UK in any rolling 12 month period during the three years prior to the date of application.
Visa extension
You can extend your Innovator Visa for three years at a time, subject to being re-endorsed each time. There is no restriction on the number of times you can extend your visa.
British citizenship
You and your family can apply to be naturalised or registered as British citizens in 12 months after ILR is granted and once you have spent at least five years in the UK.
